Our Review: |
Located in the new Shanghai Legend complex at the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park Metro stop, Herbal Legend successfully integrates various herbs into each of its dishes to nourish the body, mind, and soul. On our last visit, we sampled dishes with Gingko (for the immune system), Bistrot Root (hair), and Red Dates (blood). Although the concept is simple, the dishes are complex in taste.
For lunch, we tried the set menu (RMB 60), which included appetizers of chinese yams in orange reduction and sliced tomato marinated in bistrot root sauce. Our main dishes included stir-fried fish fillet in a lemon sauce reduction (excellent), and stir fried beef julienne with garlic.
Dessert consisted of shaved ice with fresh fruit topped with condensed milk, which was also very good. |
