There are several locations of South Beauty in Shanghai and many locations throughout China. This restaurant has some very flavorful dishes and some of the incredible spicy ones will definitely leave you in tears and covered in sweat. It’s so good it’s addicting. You can’t stop eating even though you keep sweating. Their South Beauty Chicken (shredded chicken with this sweet spicy peanut sauce) is divine. They have a shredded beef in hot oil which is very tender. You may want to order a few non-spicy dishes to balance things out like Dou Miao or Beef in Tomato Broth. They have Zhong Shui Jiao which are these dumplings that are just amazing. I could eat 20 bowls of that stuff.
